Gerken has developed an advanced in-house capability for treating graphite components
to withstand the extreme high temperature conditions found in molten aluminium and
zinc baths.
The process begins with pre-machining of the components to allow maximum absorption
of the treatment. Typically, the chemicals will penetrate up to 50mm into the graphite
material. We then carry out a double impregnation process with high temperature
curing, using any of the three bespoke chemical formulations we have developed.
Our formulations have been tested under the most extreme conditions and found to
be the best on the market for use in molten aluminium and zinc applications.
