Carbon brushes were the first products we made back in 1936. Today, Gerken manufactures a huge range of high quality carbon brushes for use in railway traction, industry and power generation - including wind energy.

The manufacture and selection of the right carbon brush for reliable and consistent performance needs a unique combination of materials, process and application knowledge. These have been developed within our industry over more than a century.

Today, Gerken applies, and continues to develop, this experience to support the most demanding applications in the world using our vast range of grades manufactured in Germany (Ringsdorff brand) and the USA (E-Carbon/Speer brand).
