Degassing shafts and rotors

Advanced graphite machining capabilities enable us to manufacture a variety of complex-shaped components for use in the extreme high-temperature conditions found in molten metal furnaces (particularly aluminum). GERKEN components ensure more reliable handling of alloys during the melting and processing stages, including aluminum, zinc, brass and copper. Our high-quality graphite parts are used for : – shafts and rotors ( + antioxidant treatment ) for degassing units.

Graphite with anti-oxidant treatment: GERKEN has developed an in-house capability for treating graphite with an anti-oxidant that considerably increases the service life of parts made from it in the extreme temperature conditions of aluminum or zinc baths.
